How Much Do I Get If I’m Injured?

VN:R_U [1.9.1_1087]

Claimant crashed his car into a pizza restaurant, causing serious damage to the building and his car. Patrons barely escaped injury. When asked at the scene if he was injured, Claimant asked the police officer if he’d get any money if he was. He then turned down an ambulance. When Claimant later told the adjuster he was injured and wanted medical treatment, she asked him what his injury was. He said he had pain, but at first couldn’t say where it was. Later in the conversation, he decided his neck hurt. The adjuster thought the claim of injury was fishy. She called the witnesses listed on the police report and one of them said he had a video of the Claimant asking if he’d get money if he was hurt. The adjuster denied the claim.

A Romanian woman tore off her husband’s left testicle after he failed to give her flowers on International Women’s Day and then refused to help with the housework.

Her husband was rushed to hospital with his scrotum torn open after his wife launched a vicious attack. The mother-of-one grabbed hold of her husband’s testicles and pulled violently during the argument. Her husband’s left testicle was left hanging out of his scrotum after the skin was ripped apart. He was forced to undergo emergency surgery to repair the damage and remains in a stable condition. Following the incident the wife said she did not know her own strength, adding that her husband deserved what had happened to him.

She said he had been given a bottle of wine for a day’s work instead of getting paid, and had arrived home drunk. ‘When he gets drunk, he changes. All night he made me keep the fire on because he was cold and I did it to avoid having an argument. n the morning I opened the curtains and told him to go out and do some work, or at least to help with the household chores but he shouted that I’m not entitled to give him orders. I told him he was not any kind of man and I grabbed his testicles. It was not my fault that he pulled away, and that’s when it happened. I thought maybe that some ice would solve the problem, but he insisted on calling an ambulance. ‘He was pretty annoyed.

The couple have been together for 15 years and have a 15-year-old son. Paramedics said: The man had a severe open wound on his scrotum. He told us his wife had attacked him because he did not give her flowers for International Woman’s Day.

The mother-of-one said she had not realized her own strength

Claimant fractured his foot on stairs leading from our insured’s restaurant. He claimed our insured was negligent, because the stairs were slippery due to lack of maintenance. Fortunately, the restaurant had just installed a video camera for security reasons. Footage showed Claimant looking at his cell phone while walking down the stairs, causing him to miss the last few stairs and fall. The video was used to convince Claimant not to sue.

We used surveillance on a claimant who we believed had fully healed from her work injury. Despite the P.I.’s efforts, she wasn’t caught doing anything active. Several weeks after we gave up our investigation, one of our adjusters saw claimant at the park with her kids, running and playing frisbee. The adjuster took video of claimant and her claim was denied.

There is a tree in my car!

From the Roswell, IL Police Department…

A few weeks ago, a Roselle police officer saw a car driving southbound on Roselle Road with a 15-foot tree embedded in the front grill of the car. After stopping the driver, he also noticed the airbags had been deployed (apparently from hitting the tree). After an investigation, the Roselle officer arrested the driver for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Can you imagine the adjusters laughing at that claim???
